I think of photographs as beautiful teleportations of time. They are quiet disassociations, capable of altering brain chemistry with a rush of feeling. Without explanation, they can reveal meaning, offer comfort, and bring us back to something we thought we had lost.
As a child, I remember photographing flowers, the hills surrounding Lake Mead, and moments I instinctively knew I would want to relive. I still remember how agonizing it was to wait for my local lab to develop and print the images I knew would carry me back.
If I’m honest, an even better feeling came from sharing them. Paying for doubles of each print was always worth my hard-earned birthday money.

Meet your artistic director, your emotional architect. It’s me, Beth Surya. I work from instinct and perception, drawn to what exists beneath the surface rather than what is immediately seen. My approach to photography is shaped by curiosity for human emotion, subtle tension, and the quiet language of presence.
I create imagery that holds feeling as much as form, where color, composition, and atmosphere become extensions of what is unspoken. There is a pull toward what lingers, what shifts, what reveals itself slowly.
Each couple and brand I work with is approached as its own emotional landscape. I listen for tone, energy, and identity, then translate that into imagery that feels intentional, immersive, and deeply considered. My work is not about documentation alone, but about interpretation, turning moments into something felt as much as seen.
